I can't recall any day I ever had to take a double look at a posting concerning country music. Sorry just not my flavor but when I just read that Beyoncé would be performing during the 50th Annual Country Music Awards tonight airing on ABC 8pm EST I went searching for my Lawry seasoning. This has got to be some historic milestone somewhere.

Having a superstar pop artist take the stage at the event isn't the first time. Justin Timberlake performed with Chris Stapleton before which gained great attention. Nevertheless the Queen Bey taking the light I'm sure has the internet going craze. What could the grammy-winning star perform? She could duet with a country star on, or do a solo performance of, a country classic considering this is the biggest night for the genre. Beyoncé's ties to Texas should come in to play and nevertheless be a stellar performance. She does have a country themed record from Lemonade titled "Daddy Lessons."

I know I'm excited just to see the powers that be recognize the Queen in a light where she has the ultimate crossover appeal and will make the best of it.

What are your thoughts? Will you tune in tonight?
