Red Bull Music Academy will be invading Patchwerk Recording Studios August 15-20 to celebrate the launch of the new RBMA Radio Platform.

RBMA Radio brings local music scenes from across the world to you, with programming from six continents and original shows from a global contingent of artists, producers and journalists. RBMA Radio: Live from Atlanta follows recent pop-ups in New York, Detroit and Los Angeles celebrating each city’s local music scene and the station’s relaunch as a 24/7 streaming platform.

From the Dungeon Family’s chart-topping R&B hits and underground rap classics of the '90s to the prolific mixtape production of The Aphilliates in the 2000s and the explosion of producers such as Zaytoven and Metro Boomin, Atlanta has continually shaped the sound of popular music. RBMA Radio: Live from Atlanta offers a deep examination of the city’s storied past and the artists pushing Atlanta forward.

RBMA Radio: Live from Atlanta will include Atlanta-focused episodes of current programming, plus live interviews, DJ mixes and special performances from Metro Boomin’, Awful Records’ first lady Abra, DJ Drama, Big Freedia, Sleepy Brown, Janelle Monae producer Chuck Lightning and many more. Listeners can look forward to new episodes of the monthly show Cruisin’ in the ATL hosted by Atlanta DJ Speakerfoxxx, who discusses the city’s music scene with its most important artists while showcasing the newest in Southern rap. RBMA Radio will also take you into some of the city’s most respected record stores with the series Counter Intelligence, which brings listeners the stories of iconic storefronts straight from the personalities who run them. Other shows that will focus on Atlanta include RBMA Radio staples like All The Raps, Choice Mix, The Vortex, Fireside Chat and Headphone Highlights. Tune in live on http://www.rbmaradio.com
