Oz Banga

Oz Banga

Decided a long time ago to live life banging. Everything has been on autopilot since!

Grown man business is what we are experiencing entering the month of July. The month of independence must be recognized and acknowledged as purveyor of the hip hop culture Jay-Z has spoken. His first release in the last four years and came right on time.

As we prepare for our contest today it is important for us to share the stories of the winners who grace our platform. This month we had a couple of milestones take place. The producer segment featured our first female producer hailing from Brooklyn, NYC who is not new to winning trophies as well as a talented emcee from Ahoskie, NC winning the contest at our first live Tight 32 performance. What I mean by live is we hosted the competition at our monthly showcase IdOMUSIC at Apache Cafe and let the audience decide the winner. Shout out to Rodrick R.O.C and Ms.Madli for representing. Check out their interviews below and come see them rock the stage at Opera Nightclub tonight!

In preparation for our upcoming IdOMUSIC TV programming we will conduct a casting call seeking personalities, host, and djs. It is important for us to find the talented individuals who have a love for music and love to engage in conversation when ever possible. This is what we do on a daily and excited to bring others into our world.

The DC representative always has a few records on his albums that get constant rotation in my playlist. This time around he set it off again with the track titled Scarface Rozay Gotti. A tribute to three artist he highly respects and didn't disappoint for sure.

I want to be very clear when I say the playlist submitted for your listening pleasure is what our current staff has on replay during the past month. It isn't necessary the tracks coming out of the studio but what we like to rock out to when we are relaxing. The beauty in the list is you never know what you'll hear. This month we have records ranging from Stevie Wonder to The Pussycat Dolls. I hope you enjoy.

This month That Tight Thirty Two On Thurzdayz Emcee and Producer contest was held in Patchwerk Studio Room 995 instead of the normal Studio 1019 making the vibe crazy for all the emcees to deliver their 32 bars. Artist from Miami, Florida to Akron, Ohio entered for their chance to take the title from our current winner Sammy Surf! Who will be the victor for the month of April?

It's no secret that on a monthly basis the Patchwerkstudio Marketing team curates three monthly events to assist the music community in building quality networking relationships and opportunity to showcase their skills to a wider audience. The new digital A&R platform Ignite Urban has come along with Red Stripe to find the new big superstar artist! Will you take advantage of this opportunity?

It's been a long time and we shouldn't have left you, without a strong networking event to connect to! Okay pardon my attempt to rhyme but it's an exciting time in the city of Atlanta. The team at Patchwerk Recording Studios is gearing up to bring back The IdOMUSIC Network and Showcase event next month back in the house where it all started, Apache Cafe! Really excited for all the fresh talent perhaps you never heard of or never got a chance to meet personally. Believe it or not IdOMUSIC turns 10 years old in September and what a time to set up the platform for the music community to shine.

There is a saying that reads "You have to be the change you want to see in life." Well in order to obtain real change something has to be altered in your mentality. If being an active member in the music industry means much to you, aligning yourself with professionals daily is key. It is even better when you can seek the advice of the ones who are currently werking instead of talking about accomplishments ages ago.  Co-owner and studio manager, Curtis Daniel II, has invited his industry friends to seek residence at Patchwerk Recording Studios once a week to sit down with clients who are ready to take the next step.

Clay Evans who is the Vice President of Grand Hustle knows a thing or three about what it takes to generate a hit and build a legit fanbase. Every Wednesday from 2p-6p you can schedule a 30 minute consultation and present up to 3 songs. Sit down with Clay and learn the direction you should focus to achieve maximize success.

Travis Nuckles who is a Marketing and Promotions Director for Urban Radio and previous speaker at our Weekend Werkshop will be meeting clients every Thursday from 2pm-6pm at the studio. 30 minutes to sit down and present up to 3 songs. Find out if your song would werk at radio or in the club.

I refer to Amina Diop as Amina Means Business when I speak on the phone with her. Why? She calls the plays behind numerous entertainers you watch and listen to daily. The blooming star we know as Jeffery aka Young Thug in 2016 rose to superstar levels under her guidance. When the trap god Gucci Mane was released back in May 2016, he immediately jumped back on the scene like he never left. His wife to be and also managed by Amina, Keyshia Ka'oir runs a cosmetics product line doing quite well on the market. Other clients such as MPA Peewee Longway, Rosta Acosta, and more all have their own brands which she handles through The Diop Agency as well. How is she able to manage all these personalities and secure the bag daily? This is information you will find out during our Weekend Werkshop on The Art Of Management hosted by Sammy Approved.
