Our first ever Masterclass was taught by one of the South’s most prominent producers, the legendary Drumma Boy . This event was a 2 -day werkshop geared towards up-and-coming producers, where they would receive one-on-one advice and tips from the Grammy-nominated producer, as well as netwerk with other producers from all over the country.

I often get asked questions about the Patchwerkstudio engineers being able to offer teaching lessons to the ones interested in learning. What I don't see however is the same people attending these powerful werkshops conducted by the marketing team at studio. Recently a werkshop was held where the entire audio engineering staff came out to talk to the people. Those in attendance received a boatload of info and got the chance to talk to the owners as well. People travelled across the country to obtain the info.

August is a month for planning and executing the blueprint for the Fall. We are entering the last quarter of the year and as we start to take tally of our wins and losses there is an important question to answer: "What is next for me?"

Our monthly workshops are geared for the artist and musicians to learn from an industry professional and this month is no different! After the music is created how do you generate a buzz about your project? Who is telling your story and who actually cares enough to give attention. The next weekend werkshop will cover the Role Of A Publicist with Tia Culver.

Amina Diop of Diop Agency described herself as the artist whisperer, as she shared her secrets to the art of artist management. This past Saturday, aspiring music professionals filled the Patchwerk Studios’ live room to hear Diop speak at this year’s first Weekend Werkshop.

Honey, ginger, vitamins and rose tea were just some of the many items on display at Lady Bose’s Weekend Werkshop. Patchwerk’s vocal Coach, Lady Bose puts all of her secrets on the table at this weekend’s werkshop.   Bose discussed the essentials for vocal health and wellness in order to protect and and grow vocal performance.

Recording, Mixing, Mastering, and Monetization w/ Patchwerk Staff

The legendary Patchwerk staff gathered at Patchwerk Recording Studios to discuss Recording, Mixing, Mastering, and Monetizing services offered at the studio. These are all essential when it comes to making a hit record. The werkshop was separated into three different sections so that the audience was able to digest each service and understand the importance of the process for their record.

Knowing how to properly promote and market your music to media is essential in the music business. We sat down with journalist, radio personality, and senior editor at HipHopWired Maurice Garland on ways to effectively market your music to media outlets. Garland got his start as a journalist while attending school at Fort Valley State University where he ran the college radio station and contributed writing to the school newspaper.  His hard work and networking led him to be introduced to the founder of Rolling Out Magazine, Munson Steed where his career began to flourish.

The recap video is up from Saturday March 5th 2016 Weekend Werkshop with Travis Nuckles discussing How To Effectively Promote and Market Your Music For Radio. The house was packed as always for our 4th consecutive sold out event.

Our next werkshop is Fundamentals of Publishing with Al "Butter" McLean slated for Saturday March 26, 2016! Purchase tickets here.
