A round of applause is necessary for the diva Aretha Franklin. The arrival of her new album, Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics, scored her highest-charting album since 1985. Yes that is nearly three decades!

The Detroit star sold 23,000 copies of diva cover songs debuting at No.13 nationally according to Nielsen Soundscan and No 3. on Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. She achieved the same success with here 1985 record, 'Who's Zoomin'.

The album was executive produced by Clive Davis who knows a thing or several about creating hits. The album features the Queen of Soul's takes on material made famous by Adele, Etta James, Barbra Streisand and others.

At 72 years old, the Queen of Soul plans to keep singing with no plans of retiring anytime soon and she has high hopes for this album. Let that prove a point to the young music makers in the world. Music has no time limit.
