The rise of social media broke down a lot of barriers to entry of the music industry. No longer are people waiting around for that once in a lifetime opportunity, and no longer do record labels make all the calls. Fortunately, this allows for exposure to more artists, and more specifically, female artists. I decided to create a playlist showcasing the ladies. The Female Element is a playlist highlighting women at different levels in their musical career, as well as showing appreciation for their talent.
