A new year brings on fresh competition to the contest held at Patchwerk Recording Studios every month called The Tight Thirty Two On Thurzdayz. This month we present our producer of the month Manny Beats and emcee of the month Taylor Nixon. Both these talents hail from the Midwest which always show our competition love. Glad they took advantage of the opportunity and the platform. Listen to Taylor Nixon verse over Manny Beats production. She simply slides for 32 bars. Tell us what you think.

Taylor Nixon stopped by to discuss her win and how she prepared for the contest. The fact she mentions writing her verse before actually receiving the beats was crazy. As I mentioned often the Tight 32 Contest should not be freestyled if want to give yourself the best chance to actually win. She is proud of her network of friends who keep her motivated to keep attacking microphones with much charisma. The glimpse she showcase in this month competition display exactly that.

Don't wait last minute to enter the next contest taking place at the end of the month. Here is a link to make it happen. http://bit.ly/pwrtight32_feb27

One thing you shouldn't do is sleep on the importance of the audio engineer.. Often times at the studio, the engineer will get asked to teach and share the knowledge. You shouldn't be in your feelings if they aren't all ready to give up the keys to their quality sound. Let us not mention the added headaches necessary to even receive credit on werk they completed.  We have a starting point for you and the Engineer's Corner assembled of the Patchwerk Recording Studios audio engineers is a great look.

The monthly contest designed for hip hop producers and emcees took place Thursday, November 17th at the legendary Patchwerk Recording Studios. 12 emcees signed up and only a few were able to complete the task of spitting 32 bars within the 15 minute time frame. The winner of our producer portion  Kangaroo809 was the selected winner of the month beating out 12 other producers for the monthly title. This is actually Kangaroo's second time winning this year. Each emcee took a different approach and delivered heat. We want you to check out the verses and let us know who was the best out of the group. Simply leave comments below.
