Today Mar.9. marks the 20th anniversary of the death of legendary rapper Biggie Smalls also known as the Notorious B.I.G. The “Juicy” rapper died at the age of 24 in a drive by in Los Angeles. His murder remains unsolved.
Kodak Black recently released a highly anticipated song named “Tunnel Vision”. “Tunnel vision”, Kodak’s latest single, was produced by one of the hottest producers blazing through Atlanta, Metro Boomin. The title of the song gives a great insight into what the focal point of the song will be.

Love was in the air, along with clouds of smoke, at the Lauryn Hill Concert on Tuesday. Her visit, one of many on her “Diaspora Calling” tour took place at the Tabernacle and just so happened to fall on Valentine’s Day. It provided a perfect opportunity for couples to grab a drink and snuggle up in their seats as they awaited Ms. Hill’s arrival.
The wait is finally over! Kehlani dropped her album around 11 pm on Jan. 27, and the world came to a halt. All you could see on social media was screenshots of each individual's favorite song. For this album he worked heavily with up and coming producer and keyboardist Amaire Johnson, which provides a consistency and fluidity with each track. You can hear the Kanye West influence in tracks “Bounce Back” and “Sunday Morning Jetpack.”
As I’ve written, the Migos were dominating 2017 even before the January 27th drop of their sophomore album Culture. However, the subsequent release of their album, and the shows they played in the days after releasing it has pumped up the hype train to another level.

Tidal has long been rumored as an acquisition target for major companies looking to expand their footing in the music industry, such as Apple. However, on January 23rd, Japanese telecommunications giant Softbank – who owns Sprint – moved to buy 33% of the burgeoning streaming service. Sources report that Sprint’s one-third acquisition cost $200m, which would value Tidal at $600m. Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure will join Tidal’s board of directors in an advisory capacity.

Lil Yachty ‘Sailing Team’ member Kodie Shane released her first mixtape "Big Trouble Little Jupiter" on soundcloud today. Within the first seven hours, each of the 10 tracks already had thousands of plays.
The 18 year old Atlanta native really started hitting the scene once her single ‘Sad’ featuring Lil Yatchy made its debut. In the video released shortly after, her tomboy swag, baby- face, sing-song lyrics and millions of views caught my attention.

Really excited for all the fresh talent perhaps you never heard of or never got a chance to meet personally. Believe it or not IdOMUSIC turns 10 years old in September and what a time to set up the platform for the music community to shine.
