After seeing flyer after flyer around downtown Atlanta, the "who is this guy" question started to ponder. It was not enough for him to have two vital Hip-Hop Icons in his corner but he also received several approvals from celebrities such as Nas, Andre 3000 and Charlamagne Tha God. Nick Grant brought a true mix of cool and lyricism to the table; hence, the title of Return of the Cool. 28 years old, residing in Atlanta, werking with Zulu and Geter, Nick Grant tends to take the crown of the top lyricist.

Return of the Cool released early Friday at midnight, which included eleven well-crafted tracks and thirty-seven minutes worth of content. Return of the Cool contains a very jazzy nostalgic Hip-Hop feel; when listening to the tracks one would imagine that Nick Grant went into a time machine and snatched some raw talent. The album name definitely is not an understatement because it's nothing but good vibes when listening all the way through. Nowadays it's extremely tough to listen to an album in its entirety but that clearly is not the case. Albums should be looked at as an art series where each individual piece has a different vibe but at the same time is carefully woven into one another.

"N**gas ain't been rapping lately, guess I'm trapped in the 80's" is one of the many carefully thought out lines in this project. Each song on the album succeeds in showing the Hip-Hop industry that real lyrics and real rap is surfacing with a young South Carolinian face. Tracks Return of the Cool and All of you featuring B. Hess separated the album from just a true Hip Hop album and added that R&B touch. Get Up, track 8 on the album gives the project a very funky Hip-Hop feel. Those three tracks alone demonstrate Grant's versatility as an artist and let the audience know that switching up was not a problem.
