The new video for Detroit's own J.Dilla and Nas 'The Sickness' is exactly what the song title explains. Listening to the track if you are a fan of Dilla only makes you imagine what could have been amazing collaborations with Nasir Jones. The Diary is a collection of Dilla's vocal performances over his production and that of other producers, such as Madlib, Pete Rock, Nottz, Hi-Tek and Karriem Riggins among others.
Record label at the time MCA was to release the project but didn't like what they received and shelved it. It was stowed away until Mass Appeal Records was able to acquire the right to release it officially. Thank you Mass Appeal!
