October upcoming music festivals in ATL

There is nothing like attending a music festival lined up with numerous acts you have always wanted to watch in action. Yes indeed the fall season is upon us and if you frequent the Atlanta area you have some great events filling up your calendar during the month of October. Allow me to put you on to a few great ones worth attending.

1. Many Rivers Festival(October 1 & 2)- You don’t want to miss #ManyRiversFest, 2016’s most powerful music, art and justice festival with performances by John Legend, Carlos Santana, Dave Matthews, Common, Macklemore, TIP, Estelle, Chris Rock, Jamie Foxx, Public Enemy and more. Also there will be a special performance curated by Harry Belafonte. Also, Jesse Williams, Cornel West, Alicia Garza, Sonia Sanchez will bless the crowd with inspiring messages. The weekend will culminate with “Stir It Up”, a two-hour curated presentation by Harry Belafonte giving us a cultural and artistic look at the American black experience then and now.

2. Sweet Auburn Festival(October 1 & 2)- Are you looking for a day with Fun Filled Entertainment, Live Music, Great Food, National Artist, Celebrities - for FREE! The Sweet Auburn Music Fest is what you’ve been waiting for! Witness one of the most amazing music festivals to hit Atlanta and the Southeast! If you’re looking for a perfect blend of music, people, food and culture, welcome home. From upcoming hip hop acts, to timeless R&B legends, to Rap Icons, to Alternative Greats. We have it all. Sweet Auburn Music Fest is a family gathering of Food, Fun and Music. Enjoy the food trucks, art expo and a variety for all those who attend. No other upcoming shows or music festivals in Atlanta compare to the experience you will have. 

3. A3C Festival(October 5-9)- Atlanta’s own A3C Hip Hop Festival has become the nationwide gathering place for anyone who creates hip hop music or is a fan of the culture. The festival features more than 200 performing artists in addition to turntable, producer and breakdance competitions and educational programming.

4. ATL Hip Hop Festival(October 8-9)-  Calling all Atlanta artists, b-boy and b-girl exhibits, emcee battles, turntablism and graffiti artists for two days of high energy at Woodruff Park.
